Scripture
We believe the Bible is God's trustworthy Word and the foundation for preaching, teaching, and daily Christian living.
For generations, our church family has served Minto with steady worship, biblical teaching, and neighbourly care rooted in Baptist conviction.
Bethel Baptist Church Independent traces its story to the post-war years when families in the Minto area gathered for prayer meetings, Scripture reading, and simple worship centred on the Gospel. In a town shaped by hard work, close relationships, and resilience, those early believers desired a church home where Christ would be honoured and the Bible would be preached clearly.
As the congregation grew, Bethel became a steady spiritual presence for families across the community. Sunday worship, youth instruction, pastoral visitation, and practical support for neighbours formed the rhythm of church life. Like many Baptist congregations in New Brunswick, Bethel developed its ministry through faithful volunteers, strong family involvement, and a conviction that the local church should serve both its members and its town.
Through seasons of change, the church has remained committed to the same essentials: the authority of Scripture, salvation through Jesus Christ alone, the importance of prayer, believer's baptism, and the calling to make disciples. That consistency has helped Bethel continue as a place where children learn the faith, adults grow in maturity, and visitors find a warm welcome.
Today, Bethel Baptist Church Independent continues to serve Minto with gratitude for the past and hope for the future. We believe God uses ordinary churches, rooted in truth and love, to strengthen families, encourage communities, and proclaim the hope of Christ to the next generation.
These commitments shape the tone of our worship, relationships, and service in the Minto community.
We believe the Bible is God's trustworthy Word and the foundation for preaching, teaching, and daily Christian living.
Church life is meant to be shared. We build relationships marked by hospitality, encouragement, and faithfulness.
We seek God's direction together and believe prayer remains essential in every season of ministry and care.
We are called to serve our neighbours with humility, practical compassion, and the love of Christ.
We aim to be credible stewards of our witness through honesty, responsibility, and consistency in public and private life.
We invest in children, youth, adults, and seniors so that the Gospel is lived and passed on with conviction.
